Tasting Notes
Robert Parker 85
The Bahans Haut-Brion 1988 has a dusty and light, antique bureau and blackcurrant pastille-scented bouquet that is a little frayed around the seams. The palate is tinctured by some brettanomyces and it feels a little staid towards the chewy finish. Not a displeasing Bahan by any means…but bottles should be consumed sooner rather than later. Tasted June 2014.
Anticipated maturity: 2014-2017
