Tasting Notes
Robert Parker 72
A very light-bodied Pavie showing considerable amber at the edge, the nondescript nose seems to lack fruit but does offer up some dusty, rustic, earthy notes intermixed with vegetables and herbs. Light to medium-bodied, with shrill acidity and high tannin, this wine has nowhere to go but down. Anticipated maturity: Now. Last tasted, 1/03.
Vinous 81-84
Spicy cherry aroma, with a distinctly green quality. Cherries and minerals on the palate. Like an older-styled, dryer Burgundy. Disappointing. The blend is 55% merlot, 25% cab franc and 20% cabernet sauvignon, typical for this property.
