Relatively pale. Smells of boiled sweets – very simple. As though the flavour has been boiled out. [11/03/2006]

A dense ruby/purple color is followed by aromas of charred wood, coffee, blackberry and cherry fruit, and new saddle leather. Vinous 89

Deep full red. Snappy aromas of cherry liqueur, blackberry, minerals, licorice and charry, spicy oak. Concentrated, vinous and deep; dense and structured. Finishes with big, ripe tannins and lingering, sweet fruit. Appears to have benefitted from a gentle bottling. [Stephen Tanzer, 05/01/2000]

Storage

Wines are held In Bond at London City Bond, Tilbury. Storage is £14 per 9-litre case and £7 for cases of 4.5 litres or under, per annum ex VAT (minimum 5 x 12x75cl cases or equivalent). Insurance is 0.15% of value per annum, minimum £15, at full replacement cost.
