Tasting Notes
Robert Parker 95
Dense nose, backward nose that is less expressive than Echezeaux. Notes of earthy red fruits and a touch of dried blood. Very intense, concentrated palate with perfect acidity. Dense, meaty and concentrated with precocious cassis on the long, long finish. Fabulous. (649 cases produced) Tasted February 2001.
Vinous 91+
Bright red-ruby. Perfumed, spicy aromas of cassis, cherry, raspberry and flowers; fresher and more tangy than the Echezeaux. Juicy, vibrant and high-pitched, with tight, precise flavors framed by strong acidity. Finishes fairly tannic and long, with a hint of youthful austerity. I like this.
