Tasting Notes

The 2001 Duhart-Milon has a fresh, quite perfumed and floral bouquet of vibrant red and black fruit mixed with mint and pressed iris. There’s lovely focus here, and it’s less sauvage than the 2000. The palate is medium-bodied, cohesive and focused, with supple tannins and fine acidity. This gently builds toward a lightly spiced, finely proportioned finish of great class and sophistication. Excellent.

Very tight on the nose with blackberry, cedar and a touch of liquorice developing with aeration. A full-bodied palate, good structure with cedar, blackberry and a touch of blueberry. Clean fruit, very pure with a focused, smoky finish. Excellent. Tasted October 2007.

Dark red. Wild, diffuse aromas. Thick and chewy and sweet. Satisfying, lively mouthful but pretty evolved. Quite racy but long. Well done!
