Tasting Notes
Robert Parker 87-89
The 2005 is one of the finest efforts from this property in over twenty years. A blend of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, the wine’s dense plum/purple color is followed by smoky aromas of incense, blue fruits as well as black currants, cedar, and a hint of dried herbs. Medium-bodied, moderately tannic, savory, and concentrated, it will require 2-3 years of cellaring, and should keep for a decade or more.
Anticipated maturity: 2008-2016

Very concentrated crimson. Scented, gentle, very sleek and expressive. Dry finish. More refined than the straight Labégorce.
