(on its finings, and scheduled to be bottled in mid-June) Pale, bright medium yellow. Ripe peach, minerals, flowers and a whiff of honey on the nose, lifted by spicy and peppery nuances. Concentrated and densely packed, with lemon and lime fruit flavors framed and lifted by minerals and spices. This nicely juicy wine finishes with noteworthy aromatic lift. Showing a light touch in the context of this set. I may be underestimating this.

Tasted at the IMW 2008 tasting at Vintners Hall. Like the Clavoillon -08, the Pucelles is a little closed at the moment and for me, does not own the same aromatic complexity. The palate has an elegant entry with touches of green apple, orange zest and crushes stone, a twist of bitter lemon and spice towards the finish. It gains more volume the longer it remains in the glass, although I prefer the focus and delineation of the Clavoillon at the moment. Tasted March 2011.
