This is pure pleasure, a hedonistic St.-Emilion fruit bomb with oodles of black cherry and black currant fruit as well as hints of sandalwood and underbrush. It is opulent, unctuous and loaded with fruit, glycerin and most of the earthly pleasures one associates with wine. This full-bodied La Fleur may well be the best wine they have ever produced. Drink it over the next 10-15 years.

Tasted blind. Some savour. Fresh and racy, very sleek ” with ‘cashmere tannins’. Polished and fun to drink already. Lots of persistence.
