Tasting Notes
Robert Parker 93
Tasted at the Comte Liger-Belair vertical at the Chateau de Vosne. The 2011 Vosne-Romanee 1er Cru Aux Reignots has a slight but attractive leafiness on the nose, touches of Provencal herbs and a slight fish oil scent developing in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with sharpness to the tannin, a little angular compared to the 2009 or 2010. There is plenty of freshness here and tension, a pleasant sappiness that continues long on the aftertaste thus urging another sip. Very fine. Tasted June 2015.

The 2011 Vosne-Romanee Aux Reignots is insanely beautiful. Impeccably graceful and layered on the palate, the 2011 impresses for its fabulous balance. At once rich and immediate yet also totally weightless, the Reignots captures the contrasts that make Burgundy so compelling. Bright saline notes support the vivid, striking finish. In 2011, the Reignots is simply dazzling.
