Tasting Notes
JancisRobinson.com 17.5
Long growing season. Wild yeast, no acid adjustment. Deep crimson. Very glowing crimson. Attractive layers and some vegetal notes. Much better mastered tannins than in the 2010 and 2006. Lots of fruit overlay. Meaty and confident. Hint of mint. Long. Dry finish and appetising.
Anticipated maturity: 2019-2030
Vinous 92+
Powerful and tannic in the glass, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Les Pavots is going to require considerable patience. All the classic Knights Valley signatures come through loud and clear, with beams of supporting tannin and acidity that give the wine its shape and overall feel. Black cherry, game, smoke, licorice and tobacco convey brooding intensity.
Anticipated maturity: 2018-2028
