Tasting Notes
Robert Parker 87
Eisele continues to produce a white wine. The 2014 Sauvignon Blanc, which has a lot of the exotic Musqué clone of Sauvignon, exhibits notes of honeysuckle, white peach, caramelized grapefruit and a hint of nectarine. This wine spent nine months in barrel prior to being bottled and tends to come from the most clay-dominated soils of the property. Drink this medium-bodied wine over the next several years.

Certified organic and biodynamic. Ages on lees for 12 months in a combination of 30% stainless steel, 25% concrete eggs, 30% used oak, and 15% new oak. 68% Sauvignon Blanc Musqué, 32% Sauvignon Blanc. Elegant, exotic, refined and refreshing. Beautiful, lifted aromatics with a dance of white flowers, light melon, and a touch of exotic fruits. Just a bit unctuous. The palate starts creamy and quickly becomes exotically spiced with a rub of dried flowers and just a hint of sweet fruit. Notes of melon, a hint of lychee and a bit of stone fruit. Nice sapidity and length that stimulates the palate and keeps the mouth watering throughout. Glistening acidity. Approachable now but will continue to develop and no doubt age a long time. Nice purity. (ECB)
