South of town. Very distinctive. Bright garnet. Lots of energy. Ripe red fruit flavours. Round and flattering. Lots of sweetness. Gets the saliva flowing. Dry end but very vibrant.

“The 2016 Nuits St Georges 1er Cru les Pruliers has the most introverted bouquet (this despite jabbering with Etienne Grivot about his family history to allow the wine time to open in the glass!). Nevertheless, the palate is very well balanced with filigree tannin. There is a lovely saline note here, very precise and energetic with a slight chalkiness to the texture on the finish. I suspect that it will flesh out more once in bottle.”
