Same high location as their red Corton vineyard, east-facing at 300 m. Lots of drying wind and this is usually the last plot to be picked. Yellow and white marl on limestone. Weber thinks it should age ‘a very long time’. Racked two weeks ago into foudre for another 3–4 months’ ageing. Light almonds and savoury oak combo. Quite refreshing; this climat seems to have yielded some very good wines in 2020. Long, satin texture and all it needs to do is build a bit more complex flavours. Very caressing on the palate with admirable length. Appetising dry finish.
