Tasting Notes
Vinous 90-92
The 2021 Rocheyron, the joint venture from Peter "Pingus" Sisseck and Silvio "Lalique" Denz from essentially a carved-out limestone outcrop of Laroque, was cropped at 15hL/ha, October 2-13. It offers brambly red fruit on the nose, plus hint of scorched earth and balsamic, all gentle but well-defined. The palate is silky-smooth, pure and charming, with lightly spiced red fruit and a slightly ferrous finish. You could probably broach this after a couple of years.
Anticipated maturity: 2027-2039
