Vinous 91-93

The 2021 Volnay Les Taillepieds 1er Cru possesses one of the most alluring bouquet from the Domaine this year, a melange of red and black fruit, cold granite, a touch of brine and a touch of undergrowth. Quite complex compared to other Premier Crus. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, tart red cherry intermixed with blackcurrant and touches of thyme and bay, just tapering a little towards the finish. Storage

Wines are held In Bond at London City Bond, Tilbury. Storage is £14 per 9-litre case and £7 for cases of 4.5 litres or under, per annum ex VAT (minimum 5 x 12x75cl cases or equivalent). Insurance is 0.15% of value per annum, minimum £15, at full replacement cost.
